About the
Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival
The Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival
originated June 3, 1967, as a one-day event on the City of Cambridge
courthouse square. The Festival Committee then known as the Greater
Cambridge Arts Council decided to move the Festival to the Cambridge
City Park in 1968. The Festival is managed by our Board of Trustees and Committees of the Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation, a 501(c)3
nonprofit organization established in 1968.
The Salt Fork Arts &
Crafts Festival is three days of Arts & Crafts, performing arts and concessions sure to delight all ages. Additional activities include Heritage of the Arts, Market Place, Student Art Show, Art Within, Senior Citizens and Craft Classes. Prior to the
event, extensive publicity is conducted to promote the event throughout the region. Festival
sponsor Time Warner Cable provides nearly 2,000 airings of thirty-second
Festival commercials in many communities throughout Ohio. A new website was launched on January 15, 2007. For up-to-the-minute programming information, please check back to www.saltforkfestival.org.
The Festival is held in the Cambridge City Park,
Cambridge (11,657/Est. 2000 Census), Guernsey County (41,304/Est.
2000 Census). The festival is a major event in Guernsey County and the Appalachian Region.
