About

About the Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival

Originating in June of 1967 as a one-day event on the Cambridge Courthouse Square, the festival moved to a new home at the Cambridge City Park in 1968.  The park is the perfect setting for the festival, offering a distinct and unique environment for exhibitors and visitors.  It's a great place to spend a warm summer afternoon!

The Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 1968 and is the governing body of the Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival.  The Board of Trustees, along with the festival director, oversees the production of the annual festival.  It takes many hands to produce the festival each year.  People throughout the community come together to chair individual committees, volunteering to develop and support the festival annually.

The 2012 festival will be a two day event, Friday, August 10 and Saturday, August 11.  High caliber artists and craftsmen will be showcased, along with performing artists, early American arts and crafts demonstrations, and food concessions.

The Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival is a juried show, and all applicants must present representations of their work along with   an application.   The deadline for this year's  festival is July 16, 2012.  All applications must be postmarked by that date.  The application must include the $20.00 jury fee.  The exhibitor's fee for the two day festival is $135.00.  Checks should be made payable to the Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation.

Artists and craftsmen who want to apply to be an exhibitor in 2012 can do so by mailing their application along with $20.00 check to:

Security

The Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation contracts each year with a security firm to provide uniformed guards for all of our exhibitors and their valuable wares.  Security will  begin on at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday evenings and continue until 8:00 a.m. each morning.  Noone is permitted on the park grounds in the festival during these hours.
