Art Within
The Art Within Committee Chairman, Vivian Barrows, has assembled an Exhibit at the Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival and is accepting applications until the end of the first week of August.
To apply click here for a registration
form. Fill out the entry form and click submit. Then, mail
your entry fee of $12.00, and a photo or color print of your art
work to: Ohio Arts & Crafts Foundation, P. O. Box 250, Cambridge,
OH. 43725. Applications are also available at the Guernsey
County Public Library Branches.
Designed specifically for artists who have no experience exhibiting and selling their artwork, artists are charged a lower fee, and will receive mentoring through the process of participation in the Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival as an emerging artist.
The Art Within Exhibit reserves the right to pre-screen and research emerging artists to make sure the artist's work fits this category and that the artist does not have extensive experience exhibiting and selling their work.
The Art Within tent located in the northwest section of the Festival (next to Craft Class tent) will be the host site of the Art Within Exhibit. Access to this area is by asphalt path and on to grass with handicap accessibility to the Art Within tent.
Artists who are just beginning their careers in the art world are encouraged to apply.
The Art Within Exhibit is sponsored
by Guernsey Industries, Inc. a non-profit corporation providing
work training and opportunities for individuals with developmental
disabilities. As a local partner of the Salt Fork Arts and
Crafts Festival, economic and cultural alliances formed represent
diverse segments within the community, increasing the number of
art, minority, and special interest organizations participating
in the arts in partnership with the Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation
and Board of Trustees.
