Volunteer

The Ohio Arts and Crafts Foundation (SFACF) is very appreciative for its 200 community volunteers who for the past forty years have supported the Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival.  Without these individual citizens volunteering, exercising a very personal right, to assist on an event they may hold dear or just simply because they know how much it will benefit their community.  Our volunteers are what make our festival successful.  The time these volunteers contribute to our Festival event is worth a significant amount of money in in-kind contribution.  If the Festival did not have its volunteers, we would have to raise funds to pay for staff.  People do volunteer for the good feeling of helping a cause or event they believe in, or they know inherently that the cause or event would not function without volunteers.  Our volunteers along with our artists are the best spokespersons for our Festival work.  The indispensable services of our volunteers performed are in the areas of food concessions, craft classes, heritage of the arts, host and hostess, Information Pavilion, booth sitters, setup and tear down, etc.
